Diagnosis
Extremely similar to the former B. lidderdalii, but distinguishable
by broader wings, narrower yellow margin at hindwings
and lighter colouration in red patches on hindwing. |
Distribution
This species is only known from the Trashiyangsi Valley
of Bhutan. The record from Yuennan Prov. of China by Cho
(1994) has been doubted as a fake record (Koiwaya, 1995). |
Habitat and Ecology
The ecological requirements of this species are still
poorly known. The only information is that they inhabit
in temperate broad-leaved primary forests above 2300-2500
m. |
