Habitat and Ecology

soar around a specific water area. For more detailed information
on biology and ecology see Chang & Wang (1997), Wang
& Heppner (1997) and Wang (2000). |
Threats and Conservation Status
This species is still quite common in Taiwan and no commercial
collecting has been reported and noticed, but pollution
of aquatic environments may have caused an instant decline. |
Remarks The family name Cordulegastridae has been spelt as Cordulegasteridae in various literature, including the Protected Species List of the Wildlife Conservation Law (Agriculture Council, 1989) and the Chinese version of this book (Yen & Yang, 2000). In this version, we adopt Cordulegastridae as the valid spelling of this family name by following Bridges (1991, 1992, 1993), Wang (2000) and Zoological Records.
