英文俗名 Dromedary Pearly Mussel, Dromedary Naiad.

外殼特徵 Shell subtriangular or subelliptical inflated, solid, somewhatinequilateral with full, high beaks, whose sculpture consistsof fine ridges running parallel with the growth lines. Surfacewith irregular, concentric growth lines or ridges. Hinge platewide and flat; left valve with two low, roughpseudocardinals, right valve with three pseudocardinals, themiddle one much the largest, and one divided lateral. Beakcavities deep, compressed, muscle scar small. Nacre white orbuff, sometimes salmon-red behind, thickened in front.

備註 The species is listed as endangered species under Taiwan'sWildlife Conservation Law (WCL). This species was listedin the CITES Appendix I on 1st July 1975. It was alsonamed as Conchodromus dromas. Photo-specimen wascollected from Mine Run Shoals, Caney River Fork, DekalbCo., Tennessee, USA and inventory in UCM 35478。
