外殼特徵 Shell solid, inflated, subquadrate or trapezoid, inequilateralwith high full beaks, whose sculpture is feeble andcorrugated; lunule wide but small; posterior ridge low,narrowly rounded, placed near the dorsal line; median ridgerounded, rarely showing vestiges of knobs. Surface rathersmooth, usually with a concentric constriction at the restmarks. Epidermis straw-color or yellow-green withnumerous green rays, silky; teeth solid; pseudocardinalstriangular, laterals double in each valve.

備註 The species is listed as endangered species under Taiwan'sWildlife Conservation Law (WCL). This species was listedin the CITES Appendix I on 1st July 1975. Dysnomia andPlagiola were genus names. Photo-specimen was collectedfrom New Harmony, Indiana, USA and inventory in ANSP125971。
