全名 Epioblasma sulcata perobliqua (Lea, 1830)

英文俗名 White Catspaw Mussel, White Catspaw.

外殼特徵 Shell subquadrate or subtrapezoid, inflated, solid, veryinequilateral; beaks somewhat elevated, prominent, theirsculpture consisting of a few faint corrugations, which aresometimes broken or are occasionally double looped; lunuledistinct, extending under the beaks. Surface nearly smoothor irregularly concentrically sulcate. Pseudocardinalssubtriangular, elevated, ragged, two in the left valve, partlydouble in the right valve. Nacre purplish to deep purple,sometimes white.

備註 The species is listed as endangered species under Taiwan'sWildlife Conservation Law (WCL). This species was listedin the CITES Appendix I on 1st July 1975. Dysnomia andPlagiola were genus names. It was also named asEpioblasma sulcata delicata, Dysnomia sulcata andPlagiola obliquata. Photo-specimen was collected fromCumberland River, Tennessee, USA and inventory inUSNM 84331-2。
