外殼特徵 Shell somewhat inflated with a well-marked posterior ridge,elliptical, solid, gaping at the anterior base; beaksmoderately elevated, with very faint sculpture. Surfacegenerally having wide, low, concentric ridges. Left valvewith two triangular pseudocardinals and two strong laterals;right valve with two pseudocardinals, there is sometimes athird small pseudocardinal behind the other two, there isone strong high lateral. Beak cavities deep; nacre white orsalmon-tinted.

備註 The species is listed as endangered species under Taiwan'sWildlife Conservation Law (WCL). This species was listedin the CITES Appendix I on 1st July 1975. It was alsonamed as Lampsilis abrupta. Photo-specimen was collectedfrom Ohio River and inventory in UCM 7756-1。
