全名 Tridacna crocea Lamarck, 1819 英文俗名 Crocus Clam, Boring Clam, Saffron-colored Clam. 外殼特徵 Shell reaching 150mm in length; triangularly ovate inoutline; angle formed at umbo by margins of hinge lines andventral border usually less than 150o; moderately to stronglyinflated and having an extremely large byssal orifice. 地理分布 Western coast of the Malay Peninsula easterward toMicronesia and southern Japan to northern Australia. Liveson reef flats and coral heads in water from a few inches toseveral fathoms in depth.
